KANUNGU, Uganda (UGNEWSLINE) – The Territorial Police in Kanungu District are investigating a double murder incident that occurred on the 2nd Nov 2026 at Kakyenke cell, Bihomborwa ward , Kihihi Town Council, Kanungu District.
The 1st deceased has been identified as Kirabo Doreen , 20 years old, Resident of Kakyenke cell, Bihomborwa ward, Kihihi Town Council.
Allegedly the deceased went to visit her sick parents and spent a night at her home, on return the husband , Akandinda Aaron picked a domestic quarrel with her, picked and axe and cut her on the head killing her instantly.
Following that act, an angry Mob mobilized and persued the suspect , a one Akandinda Aaron 25 years old, assaulted him to death .
According to Nelson Tumushime SP, PRO Kigezi Region, No arrests have been made yet in the Mob justice case , but efforts to identify the perpetrators are underway.
