All roads will lead to the Uganda ICT Sports Grounds in Nakawa on 30th August 2025, as old girls, friends, and well-wishers of Trinity College Nabbingo gather for the 2025 Annual Sports Gala—a vibrant, action-packed event aimed at supporting a major educational project.
The event was officially announced on 22nd August 2025 during a press conference hosted by the Trinity College Nabbingo Old Girls Association (TCNOGA). At the event, organizers unveiled a new team jersey and released the lineup of scheduled sports activities.
According to TCNOGA President Marie Solome Nassiwa Lubowa, this third edition of the gala aims to raise UGX 200 million, which will go toward the commencement of construction for the proposed UGX 14 billion Trinity Junior School in Nabbingo, Wakiso District, set to begin early next year.
“Previous editions of the gala raised UGX 70 million and UGX 110 million respectively. We are optimistic that this year’s edition will surpass expectations, as we rally more supporters to help us build a dedicated girls’ school,” said Solome.
She added that all necessary sports facilities are already in place at the venue, and called on stakeholders to join in the fundraising cause. “We are ready—we just need the community to show up and support,” she noted.
TCNOGA Director of Communications, Harriet Adong, listed the participating old boys’ schools as: Namilyango College, Busoga College Mwiri, St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK), Ntare School, St. Peter’s College Tororo, Mengo Senior School, St. Henry’s College Kitovu, King’s College Budo, and Uganda Martyrs Namugongo, among others.
Invited girls’ schools for netball and other games include Nabisunsa Girls, St. Joseph’s Girls Nsambya, Gayaza High School, Mount St. Mary’s Namagunga, Maryhill High School, and Trinity College Nabbingo.
Adong also extended gratitude to the event’s generous sponsors, which include Pepsi, Uganda Breweries, SprintUg, Chakala Sports, Capital Radio, Uganda ICT Innovation Hub, UAP Insurance, St. Catherine Hospital (Wakiso and Buganda Road), Sumz Snacks, CBS, and Next Media, among others.
Meanwhile, Matovu Fahad, Chief Operations Manager of the Namilyango NGO League, and Kawooya David, Chief Marketing Manager of the SMACK Sports League, pledged to mobilize large groups of alumni to participate.
They cited their longstanding historical ties with the Nabbingo community both as a source of future wives and valuable networking opportunities
