NEBBI District (UGNEWSLINE) – The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is mourning the sudden death of one of its State Attorneys, Emmanuel Naguyo, who was found dead at his residence in Nebbi District, where he was stationed.
In a statement issued on October 19, 2026, ODPP Public Relations Officer Jacqueline Okui said Naguyo’s body was discovered by a colleague at his residence in Nebbi at around 10:00 a.m. on Monday, following inquiries about his absence from work that morning.
The news has sent shockwaves through the ODPP fraternity, with the institution expressing deep sorrow over the loss of one of its own. The office extended its heartfelt condolences to Naguyo’s bereaved family, relatives, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
Naguyo served as a State Attorney with the ODPP for three years. According to Okui, his contribution to the institution and the colleagues with whom he worked will be remembered with gratitude.
The ODPP said further information regarding funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
