KAMPALA-Prigrims who intend to trek from different corners of the world have been urged to disist from carrying big luggages. The police says this will help them walking freely and go through security check without quickly.
This year’s event, under the theme “Walking in the Footsteps of the Martyrs for a Faithful Journey,” will honor the courage and unwavering faith of the 22 Catholic and 23 Anglican martyrs canonized in 1964. Lugazi Diocese, will led the celebrations at Namugongo shrine.
Police have also suspended carrying vending business Infront of Namugongo Martyrs Shrines before and during cerebrations.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police Christopher Barugahare says this will creat peace and free movement of prigrims entering Namugongo Shrines.
