Margaret House has been declared the overall winner of the Trinity College Nabbingo Old Girls Association (TCNOGA) 3rd Annual Sports Gala 2025, outclassing the other five houses.
The entertaining sports gala was held on 30th August 2025 at the UICT Institute in Nakawa under the theme “Raising Funds for the Trinity Junior School Project.”
The objective of the fundraising event was to raise over UGX 200 million to kick-start the foundation construction for the proposed junior school—a project planned to be implemented over the next ten years.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Mary Sebunya, Chairperson of the Trinity College Nabbingo Board of Trustees (BoT) and Chief Guest at the event, appealed to friends, parents, organizations, alumni, current students, and well-wishers to support the initiative. He emphasized that the project aims to contribute significantly to the future of education in the country.
Sebunya noted that most Catholic-founded secondary schools have their own primary feeder schools—such as Namilyango Junior for Namilyango College, Savio Kisubi for SMACK, Mwiri Boys, and Mount St. Mary’s Primary School Namagunga, among others.
He stressed the importance of Trinity College Nabbingo having its own feeder school to ensure continuity in upholding the Catholic Church’s values and discipline.
He further confirmed that the Catholic Church leadership has approved the Trinity Junior School project and given TCNOGA the go-ahead to implement the UGX 14 billion initiative.
Mutono Andrew Kakooza, Vice President of the Namilyango College Old Boys Association (NACOBA), made a group donation of UGX 1.5 million and pledged continued support for the Trinity Junior School Nabbingo project.
The Butiki College League delegation, led by their Publicity Secretary Jordan Muwanguzi and David Wandeba of Gayemba House and Jungle FC, donated USD 700 through their counterparts from Alix House in support of the project.
Muwanguzi also announced that the Butiki League Grand Finale is scheduled for 29th November 2025 in Jinja City, with various sports and entertainment activities lined up. All proceeds will go toward developing infrastructure at their former college.
Both Trinity College Headmistress Immaculate Lwanga Nassozi and TCNOGA President Marie Solome Nassiwa Lubowa expressed gratitude to all who supported the gala through various donations. They shared their appreciation and optimism for the success of the junior school project.
