Rukungiri District – Over 300 residents in Rukungiri have received mattresses as a fullfillment by presidential advisor on agriculture Peace Rugambwa.
The mattresses were given to the members of different groups belonging to Boona Bageigahare Kyekundire Group South Western Uganda. The beneficiaries included the elderly among others.
According to the Chairperson of Boona Bageigahare Kyekundire Group South Western Uganda, Rugambwa more pledges made to the people of Rukungiri would be fulfilled.
The presidential advisor spearheaded the distribution exercise .
Rugambwa appealed to the beneficiaries to use the mattresses the comfort of their families.
The mattresses distribution exercise was held at at Rwambara play grounds and Kagunga ward in Rukungiri district.
The presidential advisor asked the residents of Rukungiri to take advantage of Parish Development Program (PDM).
Rugambwa told the residents that President Yoweri Museveni the NRM presidential flagbearer is dedicated to fullfill pledges made to the people of western Uganda.
The presidential advisor is traversing western region to mobilise support for candididate Museveni ahead of his campaign trail in Kigezi region. She urged the residents to vote overwhelmly for Museveni come 2026 general elections.
The Electoral Commission has set January 15, 2026 as the voting date.
Team Peace Rugambwa is to hold campaigns in 18 districts before President Museveni holds his campaign rallies in western region. The residents were excited after receiving mattresses.
