Royco Wraps Up Nationwide Ramadan Outreach as Muslims Prepare for Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday

KAWEMPE, Kampala – Royco has concluded its Ramadan community outreach with a grand Iftar at Mbogo Mosque in Kawempe, bringing together Sheikhs, Sheikats, and members of the public for an evening of reflection, unity, and preparation ahead of Eid celebrations.

The Iftar marked the final activity in a series of engagements that began with Darasa sessions and continued with community Iftars held across various mosques and regions throughout the holy month.During Ramadan, Royco carried out activations in 50 mosques across the country, reaching an estimated 200 at each location. The initiative underscores the brand’s commitment to fostering meaningful community connections during this sacred period.

At the Kawempe gathering, more than 400 benefited from the distribution of food items and essential supplies, highlighting the generosity and compassion that define Ramadan.

Speaking at the event, Grace Nandawula, Head of Marketing at Unilever, noted that Ramadan is a time for giving, sharing, and uplifting one another. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with communities nationwide and to stand with them as they prepare to celebrate Eid.

Throughout the holy month, Royco also encouraged participation in a nationwide giving initiative aimed at promoting collective responsibility and generosity.

As the Muslim community prepares to mark the end of Ramadan, Royco extended its warm wishes for joy, peace, and blessings during Eid.

Eid-ul-Fitr to Be Celebrated on Friday

Muslims around the world will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday, March 20, 2026, following confirmation from Saudi Arabia after the crescent moon was not sighted earlier.

The announcement brought clarity to millions who had been awaiting the official date to mark the end of the 30-day fasting period.Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the most significant events in the Islamic calendar, symbolizing the conclusion of Ramadan—a time dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection.

Several countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkey, and Australia, have also confirmed Friday as the day of celebration.
