KYANKWANZI UPDATES: The National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders’ retreat has entered Day Five, with full participation of the party’s legislators and a structured programme of discussions on the agenda.
The Vice President and Woman MP for Katakwi District, Jessica Alupo, has already arrived at the venue, adding momentum to the day’s activities.
Today’s thematic presentations include, among others, the socio-economic transformation of Ugandan society through human capital development, with a focus on prioritising science, technology, and innovation.
This presentation will be delivered by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Monica Musenero.
Later in the day, legislators will also listen to the Prime Minister of Uganda, Robinah Nabbanja, who will present a paper titled “In the Corridors of Authority.” The paper focuses on the practical dynamics of coordinating and implementing government business in Parliament.
Members of Parliament will also hear from Dr. Robert Ayine, Senior Qualifications Framework Officer at the Inter-University Council for East Africa, as he presents on the nexus between higher education and socio-economic transformation in Ugandan society.
