Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a civil ceremony in Portugal, marking a new chapter in their nearly decade-long relationship.
The 41-year-old Al Nassr forward and Rodríguez exchanged vows in Cascais, a picturesque coastal resort town about 20 miles west of Lisbon.
The couple, who began dating in 2016 after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid where Rodríguez was working, shared a photograph on Instagram showing off their wedding rings.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced their engagement on August 11 last year, when Rodríguez posted a picture of her engagement ring alongside a message in Spanish expressing her love and commitment to the football star.
Their marriage comes just four days before Ronaldo is expected to begin the 2026–27 Saudi Pro League campaign with Al Nassr.
Ronaldo remains one of the most decorated and prolific footballers in history. He has scored nearly 1,000 goals during a career that has included spells at Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr, as well as representing Portugal.
The Portuguese star recently featured in his sixth FIFA World Cup, sharing the record for the most appearances in men’s World Cup finals with Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
The wedding marks a significant personal milestone for Ronaldo and Rodríguez, who have built a family together while supporting each other through the different stages of their high-profile careers.
