KAMPALA, Uganda — Africa’s brightest young minds in agricultural technology are headed to Kampala, Uganda, as AYuTe NextGen 2025 gears up to spotlight the continent’s most promising youth-led innovations from 17 to 19 June.
Following months of intense competition, including rigorous technical assessments in Lagos and Nairobi, the top finalists are now preparing to pitch their climate-smart, market-ready, and finance-focused solutions on a continental stage. This year’s edition promises to be the boldest yet, showcasing agri-tech breakthroughs that tackle some of Africa’s toughest food system challenges — from sustainability to scale.
Organized under the AYuTe Africa Challenge platform (spearheaded by Heifer International), the NextGen competition has become a launchpad for visionary entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 who are reshaping the future of farming.
Finalists were selected from a highly competitive pool of entries representing diverse regions and backgrounds, each offering innovative, tech-driven approaches to boosting productivity, resilience, and rural livelihoods.
