The wait is finally over as Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 11 officially kicked off on Sunday night with a spectacular live premiere, introducing the first batch of vibrant housemates who will compete for the show’s record-breaking ₦160 million grand prize.
Hosted by the ever-charismatic Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the high-energy launch show treated viewers to emotional introductions, bold personalities and memorable first impressions as contestants stepped into Biggie’s house, each determined to outwit, outlast and outshine the competition.
Among those unveiled were Bluethophia, a 22-year-old photographer, model and student from Adamawa State.
Mercedes, a confident massage therapist and business owner from Delta State.
Nomy, is a fashion designer from Anambra determined to turn her star power into headlines.
Also entering the house were Abi, a chef and model from Osun State who promises humour and confidence; Martins, a visual storyteller and model from Kogi with a self-proclaimed ability to read minds; and Tram, a Lagos-based streamer who insists he is focused solely on winning and has no time for romance.
The competition also welcomed Chimsom, a pharmacist from Anambra; Kamsy, an ambitious event planner ready to stir up drama; Keivo, a web developer from Benue with interests in gaming and art; and Aikou, a freelance teacher and web developer from Abuja who values honesty above all else.
Viewers also met Flora, a fashionable makeup entrepreneur; Sultex, a confident dancer and choreographer from Lagos; Bells, a disciplined foodie who proudly describes herself as a rule follower; and Gerard, a lively Lagos-based on-air personality eager to embrace every moment inside the house.
The lineup continued with Temi Nkem, who says she is entering the game on her own terms; Oyin, a sales entrepreneur and model chasing the grand prize; Araga, a fashion model and self-proclaimed king; and Sheba, a gym enthusiast and proud mother open to finding love.
Others introduced during the premiere included Barry, an Abuja-based civil engineer and designer; Ricky, a Port Harcourt writer who describes himself as a “bad boy by necessity”; Neche, who says she is bringing brains and beauty to the house; Yusuf, an actor from Kogi with a passion for love and unpredictability; Goddessa, a bold musician from Abia who has no patience for liars; and Cassi, an entrepreneur and actor from Abia with multiple creative talents.
As expected, social media lit up throughout the night as fans debated their early favourites, predicted potential love interests and speculated about who could emerge as this season’s biggest star.
With more housemates expected to be unveiled as the launch continues, Season 11 is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting editions of Africa’s biggest reality television show, setting the stage for weeks of intense competition, unexpected twists, emotional moments and unforgettable entertainment.
