Police in Kira Municipality have arrested three suspects believed to be linked to a notorious criminal gang known as “BONA BAFU” following a targeted operation in Agenda, Mbalwa-Namugongo, Wakiso District.
The operation, conducted by officers from Kira Division on the evening of May 26, 2026, led to the apprehension of the suspects, who are alleged to have been involved in a string of criminal activities across the area.
According to police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan, Racheal Kawala, the gang is been linked to burglary, theft, phone snatching, and violent attacks on members of the public, with victims reportedly assaulted using paving stones.
The suspects are also accused of engaging in the consumption and distribution of illicit narcotic substances.
