KAMPALA, Uganda – Ugandan entrepreneur, investor and author Elon Ssenyonga is steadily establishing himself as one of the country’s emerging business leaders through a combination of entrepreneurship, digital innovation, publishing and community empowerment.
Born to African parents and educated in African schools, Ssenyonga says his journey has been shaped by resilience, determination and lessons learned through real-life struggles, business failures and hard-earned success.
“I learned every lesson the hard way through real struggles, failures and victories in business and life,” he says.
In 2024, Ssenyonga founded ES Group International Holding Limited (ES Group Global), a private investment and holding company dedicated to creating opportunities through business, education and social impact. The company describes itself as both a business and impact organisation that invests in people while building systems that promote growth, innovation and sustainable development.
Beyond investments, Ssenyonga has ventured into publishing, producing practical e-books that simplify complex topics including entrepreneurship, personal development, medicine, law and politics. The publications are intended to equip readers with practical knowledge that can be applied in everyday life and business.
His entrepreneurial ambitions also extend into the digital media space through The Cobra Show, a rapidly growing online platform designed to help entrepreneurs, content creators and small businesses increase their online visibility. The platform promotes digital growth by supporting smaller content creators, advertising businesses and building active online communities.
As part of its expansion, The Cobra Show has announced premiering of TikTok Live sessions every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., starting this weekend.
The show will be recognizing and rewarding active supporters for their engagement.
Speaking about the initiative, Ssenyonga says, “This is not just a show, it’s a growth movement. Be active. Be seen. Be ranked.”
Ssenyonga’s own digital journey began on X (formerly Twitter) in 2023, where he built his online presence from scratch, a story he believes demonstrates the value of consistency and perseverance in today’s digital economy.
Despite his growing business portfolio, he says one of his greatest achievements remains his commitment to community service. Through charitable initiatives, he supports students and vulnerable members of the community, believing that entrepreneurship should create opportunities for others as well.
His business philosophy is inspired by legendary investor Charlie Munger’s advice: “Take a simple idea and take it seriously.” He is equally guided by his personal motto, “Gakyali Mabaga,” a Luganda phrase meaning “So little done, so much remains to be done,” reflecting his commitment to continuous improvement and long-term impact.
Looking ahead, Ssenyonga says his mission is to continue sharing knowledge, building sustainable businesses and empowering communities through ES Group Global, his publications and The Cobra Show.
