Police in Kajjansi have arrested two men suspected of taking part in an aggravated robbery at a home in Sekiwunga Cell, Kitende Ward, Kajjansi Town Council, Wakiso District.
The robbery happened on 21 August, when the suspects, who were reportedly armed with pangas, attacked occupants at the home and made off with several items.
Police later recovered some of the stolen property from the home of one of the suspects.
“The arrest of the suspects is part of our ongoing investigations into the aggravated robbery,” said Luke Owoyesigyire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson. “We are continuing to gather evidence and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

The first suspect, identified as Derrick Kakoza, a motorcycle rider, was arrested on 22 August.
Police said a search of his home led to the recovery of some of the items allegedly stolen during the robbery.
The second suspect, John Bosco Mukalasi, also known as Ali Junior, was arrested on 25 August following further investigations.
Police said he had been released from Kigo Prison about a month earlier after serving a sentence linked to an aggravated robbery case dating back to 2023, in which he was arrested by Kira Police.
The two suspects are currently being held at Natete Police Station and are expected to be transferred to Kajjansi Police Division as investigations continue.
Police said they will subsequently be produced in court.
Police have urged members of the public with information about the robbery to come forward as investigations continue.
