The crash occurred at about 10pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Kakatunda Cell, Rukiga District, involving a white Toyota Probox registration number UBM 073F and a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle registration number UEL 139Q.

The motorcycle rider was identified as Edward Lure, 45, a boda boda operator and resident of Kakatunda, Bukinda Sub-county, in Rukiga District. He and his passenger sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Traffic police responded to the scene and transported the injured victims to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital, where they were taken for medical treatment.
Police said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing as traffic officers work to establish the exact cause of the collision.
The incident comes amid continued police warnings to motorists and other road users to observe traffic rules, maintain proper lane discipline and exercise caution, particularly along busy highways.
