KAMPALA, Uganda (UGNEWSLINE)— Steel & Tube Industries Ltd has won two awards at the 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair (UGITF) 2026, organised by the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA).

The company was named Best Sector Exhibitor in Building, Construction and Housing Technology and also received an Appreciation Award as an In-Kind Partner of the 32nd UGITF.

The Best Sector Exhibitor award recognised Steel & Tube’s exhibition and product display in the Building, Construction and Housing Technology category, while the Appreciation Award acknowledged the company’s contribution and support to the trade fair as an in-kind partner.

Speaking during the fair, Regina Namuwonge, Director of Operations at Steel & Tube Industries Ltd, said the company’s participation was focused on making its products accessible to Ugandan consumers.

“The principle for the ten days can be stated in one line: you buy from the people who make and distribute the goods at the most affordable price,” Namuwonge said.

“Every offer, every discount, is priced for the Ugandans who consume.”

Namuwonge also appreciated the government agencies, partners and sponsors that supported the organisation of the trade fair.

“A trade fair of this size is carried by many hands. There are many players in this trade fair, and we thank the various ministerial bodies and agencies who support us behind it,” she said.

She added: “With that, I would like to thank our partners and sponsors.”

During the event, the Steel & Tube team also showcased its Ugandan-made trailer to Hon. Minister Sanjay Tanna of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.

UGITF is Uganda’s annual flagship trade fair, bringing together manufacturers, traders, service providers and buyers from Uganda and other countries to showcase products, explore business opportunities and build partnerships.

Steel & Tube thanked UMA for the recognition and its customers, partners and staff for their continued support.

About Steel & Tube Industries Ltd
