The disputes among members of the Good Life Crew continue to escalate. Recent developments reveal that musician Weasle and his former manager Chagga are in conflict, after Chagga was evicted from his residence.
Weasle, whose real name is Douglas Sseguya Mayanja, has lodged a complaint against Chagga with the Lukuli police, alleging assault.
The incident has been officially recorded at Lukuli police under file number SDREF 43/28/11/2024. A viral video circulating on social media depicts Weasle discarding Chagga’s personal belongings from the house while expressing his grievances in Luganda, stating, “obuntu bwo bu bwo.”
In an attempt to clarify the situation, Chagga has asserted that the root of the conflict lies in a performance opportunity he secured for Weasle, from which Weasle allegedly misappropriated Chagga’s commission.
“I was engaged at Devosh bar in Kabalagala to perform every Wednesday. I introduced Weasle for this gig, and he appointed his wife as the revenue collector. When I inquired about my share of the earnings, they refused to comply. It is from this situation that Weasle reported me to the police for allegedly assaulting his wife,” he explained.
Chagga has also clarified that he does not reside at the Good Life house in Makindye, although he occasionally spends nights there after late performances.
