Police in Kasese district has issued some of key traffic guidelines as schools across the country are preparing to open for second term on Monday 26th May 2025
Some of these guidlines including; Obeying traffic signs and signals, avoid reckless driving, overspending, Excess loading in PSV motor vehicles.
Others are;
- Follow speed limits, Adjust speed according to road conditions.
- Maintain a safe distance, Keep a safe following distance.
- Stay alert, avoid distractions while driving, like driving while talking on phone
- Respect pedestrians and cyclists, always pedestrians give cyclists space.
- Avoid driving under the influence of Alcohol , influence of alcohol or drugs.
Nelson Tumushime SP Spokesperson Police Kasese says “Traffic Police Department has deployed on our major roads coming in and out of Kasese to ensure that drivers / motorists who contravene these guidelines are arrested and prosecuted in courts of law, we shall also issue out Express Penalty fines ( EPS).”
