Entebbe Municipality : The Assistant RDC for Entebbe Sub-district, Tinyefuza Joseph Mwesigye, has revealed that NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will be campaigning in Entebbe Municipality on 5 January 2026 and urged all party structure members to mobilize for the big event.
He made the remarks on 10 December 2025 at Entebbe Leisure Park Gardens in Kitooro while officiating at the launch of the Kampala Metropolitan Emyooga Sacco Leaders Presidential Mobilization Teams Taskforce – Entebbe Branch, which seeks to canvass votes for the NRM presidential candidate in 2026.
Mwesigye said the President and NRM flagbearer will hold two major rallies on 5 January, first in Entebbe Municipality, and later in the afternoon in Nansana Municipality, covering the Greater Wakiso District.
Turning to the day’s event, he congratulated the Entebbe Emyooga Saccos for celebrating their success stories and for launching the process of mobilizing votes for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, whose vision led to the establishment of both the Emyooga and PDM model programs. These initiatives, he noted, have benefited millions of low-income Ugandans by empowering them to overcome poverty at both household and community levels.
The Assistant RDC thanked the Chairperson of the Kampala Metropolitan Emyooga Leaders Presidential Vote Mobilization Team, Tumwebaze Richard, along with a State House team led by Biira Janet, the Emyooga Coordinator, for a mobilization job well done.
Mwirumubi Priscilla, whom President Museveni visited during his recent nationwide tour to assess the performance and impact of the PDM program and to whom he donated UGX 20 million to expand her Kitooro-based salon gave testimony, attributing her business expansion and increased returns to the funding support.
Priscilla, who is the Chairperson of the Entebbe Division A Salon Operators Emyooga Sacco, thanked the President for the support and pledged to mobilize her members to canvass votes for his re-election in appreciation of the Emyooga initiative.
The members collectively appreciated the Assistant RDC for his words of guidance and pledged to work with community NRM structures to mobilize grassroots block support for their fountain of honor, President Museveni.
