Kampala,Uganda– Katwe Police foiled a robbery attempt in the early hours of today at Mirimo Zone, Ndejje Division, Wakiso District.
According to Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan police spokes person, at around 2:20 a.m., police received a distress call reporting a group of ten men armed with pangas attempting to rob a bar in Bongole Village, Ndejje Parish, Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality.
Officers from Ndejje Police responded promptly and intercepted the suspects, arresting one individual, identified as Mpiima Muhamed.
A second suspect, known as Gravity, was put out of action after he attempted to attack a police officer. His body has been taken to Mulago City Mortuary.
A panga was recovered from the scene and has been exhibited as evidence. This incident underscores the importance of community policing and public vigilance in preventing crime.
