The NRM flag bearer for Bukoto South Constituency in Lwengo District, Dr. Muyanja Mbabali, has pledged to introduce more economic empowerment programs and projects aimed at uplifting his people from the trenches of abject poverty — the biggest challenge facing communities across the country.
Speaking to this website in an exclusive interview at Serena Hotel on August 25, 2025, Mbabali said he is seeking a mandate from the people of Bukoto South Constituency in order to implement the projects and programs he has secured through his connections abroad.
Mbabali, a staunch supporter of President Yoweri Museveni and long-time NRM mobiliser, has remained active in Lwengo politics through community development initiatives, particularly in education and road infrastructure.
Following his recent victory, Mbabali thanked his supporters for standing by him and promised to work towards inclusive development in Bukoto South. He emphasized that despite having been previously unseated by Twaha Kagabo of NUP/NRM, he is committed to uplifting the livelihoods of all his people without discrimination.
