Jolly Mugisha also known as Mama Jolly, the Deputy President for Western Uganda of the National Unity Platform (NUP), has sadly passed away at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.
Party President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine, has confirmed this sad news on his X platform.
Bobi Wine said that Mugisha had been hospitalized for several weeks due to an unspecified illness where she has been admitted in a coma.
“It’s with great sadness that I announce the passing of Hon. Jolly Mugisha, the National Unity Platform Deputy President for Western Uganda.
Mama Jolly has passed on this afternoon from Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital where she has been admitted in a coma for several weeks.”Bobi wine confirmed on his X platform.
Bobi Wine described Jolly as a true heroine who selflessly contributed to the development of their party in Western Uganda.
“Mama Jolly will always be remembered as a true Ugandan heroine. Other communication will be made in due course.” He said.
