With the ongoing high internet costs in the Country, Blue Crane Communication has cut its prices in its new campaign dubbed Switch to BCC.

The campaign is aimed at delivering reliable high internet speeds at the lowest prices for fiber home users and SMEs within Uganda.

Running till December 2024, this initiative aims to empower customers to benefit from unlimited internet packages at lower prices and exceptional bandwidth options, all designed to meet the growing demand for affordable, quality internet in Uganda.

The packages include; 50Mbps for UGX 110,000, 75Mbps for UGX 150,000, and 100Mbps for UGX 200,000.

In a phone interview, with Ali Kisekka, the Head of SME & Home Sales at BCC, he explained that larger packages now come at lower prices, allowing customers to pay less and get more. He emphasized that the BCC’s internet service is available to all customers.

“With the Switch to BCC campaign, we’re offering customers a unique opportunity to experience faster internet at lower prices, ensuring that both home users and businesses can enjoy seamless connectivity that enhances productivity.”

The campaign was created in response to Uganda’s growing demand for high-speed, affordable internet, especially among SMEs and residents who rely on stable connections for work, education, gaming, and entertainment.

Through this campaign, Blue Crane Communications aims to highlight its commitment to innovation and its role in providing essential connectivity services that support the local economy.

Kisekka further urges customers to subscribe to BCC and enjoy the benefits, including superior customer service, technical support, and the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade bandwidth without changing physical infrastructure.

“With a focus on quality, accessibility, and customer satisfaction, BCC is dedicated to transforming the digital experience for individuals and businesses. From high-speed internet and power solutions to security and ICT services, BCC is committed to connecting Ugandans with technology that empowers them.”

BCC’s product offerings go beyond internet packages, including advanced Security and surveillance, ICT and telecommunication, Power Solutions and renewable Infrastructure, and Smart TV Solutions. These are all part of BCC’s goal to provide comprehensive tech solutions for Uganda’s evolving digital landscape, according to Kisekka.

Data from the Uganda Communications Commission’s Market Performance Report – Financial Year 2022-2023 reveals substantial growth in internet subscriptions. In the quarter ending March 2023, subscriptions surged by 1.2 million, reaching a total of 27 million.

A report by Global Digital Insights shows that Uganda has over 13.3 million internet users as of this year.
