UACE EXAMINATION RESULTS: The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has confirmed that the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) results will be officially released on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
The results will be announced during a ceremony at State House Nakasero and will be presided over by the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataaha Museveni.
Increase in Candidate Numbers
According to UNEB, 166,402 candidates sat for the 2025 UACE examinations, marking a 14.6% increase compared to the number of candidates who registered in 2024. This growth reflects a continued rise in the number of learners progressing to advanced-level secondary education across the country.
Of the total candidates; 93,630 were male, representing 56% of the candidates and 77,772 were female, accounting for 44%.
Government and Private Candidates
UNEB statistics indicate that the candidates included both government-sponsored and privately registered learners.
42,328 candidates were government-sponsored, and 124,074 candidates registered as private candidates.
The examinations were conducted across 2,844 centres nationwide, ensuring broad access for students across different regions of the country.
UNEB also revealed that 70 prisoners registered to sit the examinations under the prison education programme. Among them were 66 male and 4 female candidates, reflecting ongoing efforts to extend education opportunities to inmates.
Awaiting National Performance
The release of the results will provide a comprehensive overview of candidate performance and trends in advanced-level education across Uganda. It will also determine eligibility for university admissions and other tertiary education opportunities for thousands of students.
