Kampala, Uganda – Unilever Uganda has launched  Royco Cube Ku String at the bustling Nakasero Market in Kampala.

The Kampala event is the latest in a series of vibrant market activations following successful launches in Gulu, Mbarara, and Mbale. This rollout reinforces Unilever’s unwavering commitment to putting customers at the heart of everything it does.

The Royco Cube Ku String—a hygienic, convenient, and affordable pack of 12 individually wrapped cubes priced at UGX 1,200—has been specially designed with Ugandan families and small businesses in mind. With its compact packaging and portion-friendly format, the product is tailored to suit the dynamic needs of today’s cooks, traders, and market-goers.

Commenting on the launch, Luck Ochieng, CEO Uniliver East Africa said: “At Unilever, we believe in building brands with purpose and impact. Receiving recognition at the People’s Choice Awards and East Africa Brand Quality Awards is not just a win for Indomie Uganda—it’s a testament to our commitment to consistently deliver quality, innovation, and value to the communities we serve. We are incredibly proud of the Uniliver team and grateful to our consumers whose trust and loyalty continue to inspire us.”

Speaking at the Kampala launch, Grace Nandawula, Head of Customer & Strategy Planning at Unilever Uganda, said:

“Nakasero Market isn’t just a location—it’s the heartbeat of Kampala. We are here because our customers are here. The Royco Cube Ku String was created by listening to what real Ugandan cooks need: hygiene, convenience, affordability, and great taste still fortified with iron & iodine. Our consumers inspire us, and today is about celebrating them.”

The activation event featured live cooking experiences, interactive engagements, and sampling sessions that brought traders, consumers, and community members together to taste and experience the innovation firsthand.

The Kampala launch reflects Unilever’s broader vision to connect with consumers where they live and work—bringing Royco closer to the people who rely on it every day. With fortified nutrition and a trusted heritage, Royco continues to be a staple in Ugandan kitchens.

Grace Nandawula added, “Our customers are not just users—they are our partners. This launch in Kampala is a continuation of our journey to make Royco accessible to every household in Uganda, and to say a heartfelt thank you for making us part of your everyday meals.”

The Royco Cube Ku String is now available in local shops and markets nationwide. As the rollout continues, Unilever remains focused on innovation that uplifts communities, supports local traders, and ensures every meal is both delicious and nutritious.
