The Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture, Peace Rugambwa, has urged the residents of Ntugamo to vote for NRM flag bearer President Yoweri Museveni in the 2026 general elections.
Rugambwa was speaking during a campaign rally held at Nyabugando playgrounds in Ntugamo District.
The Presidential Advisor was welcomed by enthusiastic NRM supporters wearing yellow T-shirts upon her arrival at the venue. She returned the greeting by raising both arms and giving a thumbs-up in the shape of the NRM symbol.
Rugambwa told the residents that President Museveni, who is contesting against seven other candidates, is a champion of peace and stability in the country.
She added that President Museveni has spearheaded the socio-economic transformation of Uganda.
Rugambwa is mobilizing support for Museveni ahead of his campaign trail in the Western Region.
Residents, wearing yellow T-shirts bearing pictures of President Museveni, the Senior Presidential Advisor, and the Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), Salim Saleh, as well as Rugambwa herself, pledged to vote for Museveni.
Under the campaign slogan, “Team Peace Rugambwa, President Museveni 2026-2031,” Rugambwa appealed to residents to turn out in large numbers to vote for Museveni in the 2026 general elections.
She outlined other reasons why President Museveni should remain in power, highlighting that he is non-sectarian, cares for the common people, has spearheaded universal primary and secondary education, and has a clear vision for the country.
She concluded by saying that the NRM flag bearer should be given another chance to complete the projects he has started.
