Kampala, Uganda – NCBA Bank Uganda launched its inaugural Parent & Child Golf Tournament at the Uganda Golf Club, creating a unique platform for families to bond over a shared love for golf. The event brought together over 50 parent-child pairs for a day of friendly competition, skill-building, and meaningful connection on the greens.

The tournament featured mixed teams of parents and their children, encouraging collaboration and teamwork both during play and beyond. Participants enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with short-game challenges and took home an array of prizes, including trophies, premium golf equipment, shopping vouchers, and gift hampers.

Speaking at the event, NCBA Bank Uganda CEO Mark Muyobo highlighted the tournament as part of the bank’s broader commitment to youth development and family engagement through sport. He noted that the new format complements the ongoing NCBA Golf Series, which opened its 2025 season at the same venue.

“At NCBA, we are passionate about nurturing greatness in every form. This tournament is more than just a game—it’s about inspiring growth, strengthening families, and instilling the values of golf such as integrity, discipline, and respect,” Muyobo said.

He also emphasized NCBA’s growing footprint in junior golf, with past initiatives involving over 100 young golfers from Uganda and across East Africa. Many participants have earned international ranking points, helping elevate Uganda’s presence in junior golf globally.

The introduction of the Parent & Child format reflects NCBA’s holistic approach—promoting healthy lifestyles, intergenerational bonding, and community participation in sport.
