KAMPALA, Uganda – The Rotary Club of Muyenga Forest Hills has been chartered this evening in a vibrant ceremony held at Forest Park Muyenga, marking a significant milestone in the club’s mission to serve and uplift the local community. The event was graced by District Governor 9214, Christine Kawooya Kyeyune, alongside other distinguished guests and community leaders.

At the colourful ceremony, CP Mr. Kakooza Joseph has unveiled ambitious plans for the club’s future, including the construction of a four-storeyed education facility and state-of-the-art health facilities designed to serve the underserved.

A highlight of these plans is the proposed CKK Hospital, named in honor of District Governor Kyeyune, recognizing her unwavering dedication to community welfare.

Mr. Kakooza emphasized that the club’s primary focus will be on providing basic needs and enhancing maternal health care in the area.

District Governor Kyeyune commended the club’s leadership for rallying young energetic members and encouraged them to sustain impactful projects, especially in maternal health and education. She urged community members to join Rotary’s cause of “Service Above Self” to foster positive change throughout the region.

Charter President Mr. Kakooza Joseph

The club’s vision is further strengthened by a generous donation of five acres of land from club member and major donor, Mr. Mulangira Kayondo Hanson. Both the Charter President and the District Governor expressed heartfelt gratitude for this significant contribution, which will support the club’s upcoming initiatives.

In his remarks, Dr. Bildad Baguma, the club’s advisor, urged members to remain steadfast and impactful in their projects. He also encouraged participation at the upcoming district conference scheduled for April 2026 in Munyonyo, highlighting the importance of continuous growth and networking.

RID Emmanuel Katongole

The guest of honor, RID Emmanuel Katongole, pledged his full support to the newly chartered Rotary Club of Muyenga Forest Hills, providing a strong morale boost and reassurance for the club’s future endeavors.

He advised the youth to always start small, grow big, and scale up, referring to how he started Quality Chemicals. He further pledged to support the Rotary Club of Muyenga Forest Hills in their upcoming projects and urged members to contribute to and support the Rotary Foundation, noting that he also gives generously.

Director of Membership, Salongo Ssemata Munagomba, who played a key role in the club’s formation, expressed his excitement and optimism about the club’s potential to drive meaningful change within the community.
