The woman who was depicted in a viral video defecating and urinating on a 10-month-old infant, has been arrested.
The police spokesperson, Rusoke Kituuma said investigations indicate that the child’s mother left the toddler in the care of the suspect, who then subjected the child to the horrific act.
The video which was trending on various social media platforms was accessed by another individual who shared it on social media, leading to its widespread circulation.
“Police picked interest in the matter and on November 1, 2024, at around 9:00 PM, police apprehended Stella Namawanjje, a 34-year-old female resident of Binyonyi A cell in Nyendo Mukungwe division, Masaka city,” Kituuma noted.
He stressed that the investigation is still ongoing.
He said the police condemns the act and pledges to ensure that the suspect accounts for actions.
