MTN Mobile Money (U) Limited has today launched a nationwide financial literacy campaign to empower its customers with the knowledge, confidence and discipline to borrow responsibly through MoMo Loans, repay consistently and use mobile money credit to support their financial wellbeing.
Running under the tagline “Borrow. Pay Back. Neela Neela.”, the campaign encourages MTN MoMo customers to treat digital credit as a helpful financial tool by borrowing and enjoy benefits of growing their limit and improving their credit worthiness that enables them obtain access to future opportunities.
Through MoMo Loans, MTN MoMo provides fast, convenient and accessible credit to customers across Uganda through the MoMo Loan Marketplace and dedicated loan segments for consumers, agents and merchants. These solutions are designed to support individuals, traders, agents, farmers, merchants and MSMEs who may not always be fully served by traditional financial institutions. The campaign therefore reinforces MTN MoMo’s role in expanding access to credit while promoting responsible borrowing and highlighting the benefits of continued utilisation.

The campaign is built around three simple MTN MoMo customer messages: Repay on time, Borrow again and keep a good repayment record to improve your credit score. This will encourage customers to borrow, repay Neela Neela to continue enjoying the benefits.
Over the coming months, MTN MoMo customers will be reached through television, radio, digital platforms, social media and community activations with practical tips on responsible borrowing, timely repayment and the smart use of MoMo Loans.
The campaign reinforces MTN MoMo’s commitment to advancing financial inclusion in Uganda by combining access to mobile money credit with practical financial education.
