The police in Entebbe are currently investigating a serious case of aggravated defilement involving a minor.
The incident was reported by the victim’s mother, Sharone Ninsiima, who claims that her husband, Waggama Yusuf, a 40-year-old traditional healer and the victim’s stepfather, is responsible.
According to Patrick Onyango, the spokesperson for the Kampala Metropolitan police, it has been determined that Yusuf Waggama took advantage of his position of trust by instructing his wife to sleep in the shrine, leaving him alone with the victim.
He is alleged to have engaged in sexual acts with the victim without her consent on several occasions. The second incident reportedly took place after Waggama Yusuf attempted to assault his wife, prompting her to escape.
Upon noticing her daughter’s unusual behavior, the victim’s mother sought medical attention, which ultimately revealed that the victim is pregnant.
Onyango said investigations into this case are still ongoing.
