The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC)- Kampala Water has announced that there will be will be interruptions in water supply tonight from 8:00pm to Friday (March 14, 2025) at 8am.
This due to UMEME planned upgrade works and routine maintenance at the Ggaba Power station.
The works are designed to improve power supply to the plant.
The affected areas will include: Kampala Central Business District, Munyonyo, Buziga, Ggaba Road, Nsambya, Kansanga, Muyenga, Kololo, Bugolobi, Nakawa, Kyambogo, Jinja Road, Rubaga, Namirembe, Lubowa, Seguku, Mutundwe, Nansana, Matuga, Wakiso, Bulenga, Kyengera, Budo, Nabingo, Kawanda, Nabweru, Parts of Gayaza, Kanyanya, Mulago, Makerere, Kamwokya, Mawanda Road, Makindye, Najjanankumbi and the surrounding areas
Customers are therefore advised to store enough water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a TOTAL PLANT SHUTDOWN
