The head of the presidential taskforce on Land and Environment Brig.Gen. Moses Lukyamuzi has commended the media fraternity for embracing sports noting that sports is good for both mental and physical fitness.
He made the remark while officiating at the 3rd Uganda journalists Association [UJA] sports gala 2025 which was held at Kitante primary school sports Arena.
Several media houses attended the day- long sports encounter.
Church of Uganda Media defeated KBS TV 3-1 to win the trophy and a goat.
Brig. Gen Lukyamuzi also urged the media fraternity to ensure they struggle for their freedom
Lukyamuza pointed that the global world appears to view the media industry as their potential enemies yet they are partners
He thanked UJA president Mathias Rukundo with his executive for always inviting him, saying it builds trust and promotes mutual understanding amongst the stakeholders.
He used the opportunity to challenge the media to come out and support his office by exposing any forms of injustices meted out on people especially on land and environmental affairs.
