In the ongoing exercise of displaying the National Voters Register, every Ugandan ages 18 years and above has the option to select a polling station they will vote from.

The exercise which begun on April 25, will conclude on May 15, 2025.

Application for Transfer of Voting Location

During the update exercise, registered voters who wish to transfer to new voting locations is able to apply for such transfer

What you need to know;

A voter who wishes to transfer to a new voting location must present confirmation that he/she originates from or is, at the time of application for transfer, a resident of the Parish of that (new) voting location. Such applicants are required to present details of their previous voting location.

A person who wishes to apply for transfer of his or her voting location is free to present himself/herself at any of the update centres where a registration kit is stationed

Displaying of the National Voters Register is critical to ensure that the electoral commission organize, conduct and supervise regular, free and fair elections and referenda through citizen participation, stakeholder engagement and information sharing to enhance democracy and good governance.
