CRJE (EAST AFRICA) LTD conducted an on‑site quality inspection for the National Quality Month at the Uganda National Museum.
The inspection took place last week with full participation of the branch staff. The general manager CRJE Liu Qiang led the team, where the site technician briefed the team on construction progress and key acceptance requirements.
CRJE is executing the US$4.97m refurbishment and modernization project for the Uganda National museum in Kampala capital, Uganda.
According to CRJE (East Africa) LTD general manager, Liu Qiang three inspection teams were formed to conduct thorough site checks.
Liu said that the first team examined ceilings, paintwork, lighting and furniture installation, whereas the second one inspected interior walls, floors, doors, windows and sanitary fittings.
“The third team reviewed external facades, roofing, outdoor works and equipment installation. Staff identified construction defects, sorted out common quality issues and put forward practical optimization suggestions,’ he said.
General Manager Liu said this activity strengthened workers, managers of the project to stick to quality specifications of the project. “Going forward, the branch will establish a problem ledger for closed‑loop rectification, promote a fine‑workmanship culture, and build high‑quality landmark projects for Uganda,” he said.
According to CRJE (East Africa) Ltd the reconstruction and expansion works at the Uganda National Museum have reached approximately 90% completion.
The renovation involves structural refurbishments, gallery expansions, and facility modernization to meet international curation and visitor standard. Established in 1908, the Uganda National Museum is the oldest museum in East Africa.
