KAMPALA – The dramatic celebrity rise, public feuds, and now a shocking arrest, controversial ghetto superstar Alien Skin also known as ‘Mafia Boss Kimenke’ is once again at the centre of a storm that’s gripping Uganda’s entertainment scene.
Real name Patrick Mulwana, the self-proclaimed Fangone Forest Entertainment president was arrested on Tuesday, October 1, 2025, in connection with the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, a popular dancer known in music circles as Top Dancer.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, the ghetto superstar is currently in police coolers at Katwe Police Station, where his statement is being recorded.
Details surrounding the cause of Top Dancer’s death remain unclear.
Police have remained tight-lipped on how and where the arrest of Alien Skin occurred.
The arrest follows days of speculation after the “Sitya Danger” hitmaker reportedly went missing, triggering panic among his fans.
The musician’s unexplained absence prompted public outcry and widespread online concern, especially from loyal followers of his Fangone Forest Entertainment.
No stranger to controversy
Alien Skin, who burst onto the scene during the COVID-19 lockdown and quickly shook up Uganda’s music industry, is no stranger to controversy.
His meteoric rise since 2022 came with high-profile beefs, surprise concerts, street credibility, and legal troubles that made him a fixture in entertainment gossip.
One of his most infamous moments came when fellow artist Pallaso (younger brother to Afrobeat legend Jose Chameleone) physically attacked him during a heated altercation in Makindye.
What followed was a musical showdown: Alien Skin staged a sold-out rival concert at Freedom City, the same day as Pallaso’s much-publicised ‘Love Fest’ at Lugogo Cricket Oval, a move that some insiders branded as “calculated revenge.”
The Freedom City show drew such a massive crowd that security forces were overwhelmed, with fans breaking through gates and police resorting to teargas to regain control.
That same year, Alien Skin again defied expectations by organizing the Nkwakyo Festival at Wankulukuku Stadium, clashing directly with the royal-themed Enkuka Concert on New Year’s Eve.
Despite the competition, he pulled off a decent crowd, cementing his status as a rebel with a fanbase.
But with fame came legal heat. In 2024, he was arrested for allegedly stealing a mobile phone and Shs 3 million, in addition to assault accusations.
He was arraigned in court, remanded, and later released on bail. The arrest followed an incident where members of his entourage reportedly stormed Nsambya Hospital, accusing staff of negligence that allegedly led to a friend’s death.
Later that year, tensions with Pallaso reignited when Alien Skin’s crew allegedly attacked Pallaso during a live performance in Wakiso, forcing the show to end in chaos. Retaliation came swiftly: Pallaso’s gang, armed with machetes, hammers, and stones, reportedly raided Alien Skin’s home in Kisugu Zone, set fire to his Range Rover, and damaged other property.
Sources say Alien Skin and his crew narrowly escaped the attack after being tipped off in time.
And just last month, the digital drama escalated when Jose Chameleon seemingly dissed Alien Skin’s song, known as ‘Kapati Kapati’, prompting another wave of online feuds between fanbases.
Last year Alien Skin and his boys were allegedly captured vandalising opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) party offices in the night.
The group allegedly spray-painted the party’s building, an act that fuelled speculation about government involvement in efforts to undermine the opposition party. He has been accused of attacking NUP offices severally.
Now, with a high-profile arrest linked to a mysterious death, all eyes are once again on Alien Skin.
One thing is certain: Uganda’s music scene has never had a figure quite like Alien Skin, unpredictable, raw, and defiantly unfiltered.
