KAMPALA, Uganda (UGNEWSLINE) – The Gospel Elite Crescendo Choir International is a christian gospel ensemble that realizes a continuous positive impact on society by practicing true christian values through singing gospel music and preaching the word of God. George W Senabulya, one of the band’s lead singer has confirmed dates for this year’s concert they have named “Ekibbiitu ky’omwaka Crescendos at 20 on December 26 (boxing day) at Mengo Senior Secondary play ground.
He explains that they annually stage concerts but for this time, it is a special one with several uniqueness in stage, arrangements and performance since they will be celebrating 20 years of excellence in the gospel music industry. This development comes days after the choir released its newest gospel reggae song they named ‘ Olwaleero mbaga’, a song that has turned out to be an anthem on many of the believers’ mouths.
The choir’s mission is to preach the gospel of christ to the four corners of the earth. And it was founded in the year 2006 by the chairman Ronald Keeya Senabulya of St. Thomas Kiwuunya Church of Uganda, Kiwuunya parish, Kazo Archdeaconry in Namirembe Diocese, Kampala. The choir has moved to different parts of the world including Dubai, Kenya, Rwanda and has performed on various state functions, parties, concerts and other festivities in Uganda. ” We aim to foster assembly participation through faith filled singing that is familiar, enthusiastic and inspirational,’ said George Senabulya.
Gospel Elite Crescendo is composed of the Elite class and dignified members of society such as Doctors, lawyers, Engineers, teachers, business class, students and managers who regardless of their statuses, pledge allegiance to God through singing, dancing and praising God with passion. He further observes that this has inspired many people where they have performed, and encouraged many to start serving the lord in their various capacities without fear. Among the many achievements, the choir will always be remembered for wining the Uganda Golden jubilee network during the very historical celebration of 50 years of Uganda’s independence in 2012. The same choir has also won three rounds of Victoria Gospel Music Awards (VIGA) in the choir category.
“We organise a massive Christmas family concert code named Ekibbiitu ky’omwaka every 26 December at Mengo SS play ground every year. This is an annual family concert and preparation are in high gear for Ekibbiitu ky’omwaka Crescendos at 20 celebrating 20 years of of vibrant existence in the industry and serving God through music,” he added.
