KAMPALA,Uganda:  Nova Microfinance, a provider of inclusive financial services, has partnered with Simba Automotives Limited one of Uganda’s largest motorcycle companies to expand access to both fuel-powered and electric motorcycles for individuals, companies, and business owners across their 65 distribution points nationwide.

Under this partnership, Nova Microfinance will offer flexible financing and repayment plans tailored to the needs of boda riders. Through this initiative, more people will be able to own motorcycles with a down payment as low as UGX 450,000, payable within 12 to 24 months.

The Boda Boda sector is Uganda’s second-largest employer, supporting millions of riders and many more who depend on their services, including small-scale traders and those relying on essential transport.

With transport serving as a critical driver of economic productivity especially for delivery riders, small business operators, and commuters, this initiative will enable more people to own motorcycles without the burden of high upfront costs.

“This partnership with Simba Automotives gives our customers access to a wide range of motorbikes, both fuel-powered and electric, accelerating the growth of the informal sector and increasing employment opportunities,” said Precious Naluwu, Partnerships Manager at Nova Microfinance.

Chitwan Dogra, CEO of Simba Automotives, emphasized that by leveraging Nova Microfinance and Simba’s combined network of over 60 distribution points nationwide, motorcycles are now more accessible than ever.

This initiative is a major boost for small business owners and individual riders, who can now acquire a motorcycle with an affordable initial deposit of just UGX 450,000.
