Police in Nateete have arrested seven people suspected of carrying out a series of motorcycle robberies in Lungujja, Kosovo, Mutundwe, and along Nakawuka Road.
The arrests came during an operation on 11th December 2025 targeting motorcycle thieves. The suspects Mwesigwa Denis, Washington Erias, Niwugu Samuel, Nasasira Derick, Medy, Mbabali, and Nsereko Sam, allegedly posed as customers to steal motorcycles from unsuspecting riders.
Police recovered two stolen motorcycles, registered UEW 612H and UMA 471AG, along with other items used in the crimes. The suspects are being held at Lungujja and Wakaliga police stations as investigations into aggravated robbery continue.
In a separate operation on 12th December, police also arrested Mugabi Hakim, known as “Younger,” a notorious pickpocket active along Luwum Street.
Police say operations will continue, especially during the festive season, to ensure public safety.
