Police FC moved up to third place in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League after a dominant 4-0 victory over Buhimba United Saints at the Kira Road Police Arena on December 3, 2025.
Denis Kalanzi, Umaru Kasumba, captain Saidi Kyeyune, and substitute Derrick Maviiri all found the back of the net, taking Police’s tally to 17 points—level with league leaders KCCA and second-placed SC Villa.
Kalanzi broke the deadlock in the 28th minute, capitalizing on a rebound after Buhimba goalkeeper Jamil Kiyimba failed to control Lawrence Tezikya’s teasing cross. Four minutes before halftime, Kasumba doubled the advantage, finishing neatly at the near post after a swift setup from pacey Obedi Brian James.
The second half saw Kyeyune extend the lead in the 59th minute, slotting home from Kalanzi’s precise cross following another clever buildup involving Tezikya. The scoring was completed by Maviiri, who struck a low-driven shot after Emmanuel Mugume outmuscled his defender down the left flank and delivered the assist.
Kyeyune’s all-round display earned him the Man of the Match award.
Police FC, now with five wins, two draws, and two losses from nine matches, will face Lugazi FC in Najjembe on December 10th for matchday ten action.
