President Yoweri Museveni met separately with two prominent cultural leaders, His Majesty Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the King of Tooro, and His Royal Highness Kyabazinga William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV of Busoga Kingdom.
In a meeting with King Oyo Nyimba, President Museveni congratulated him on the 30th anniversary of his coronation. The two leaders reviewed the kingdom’s governance framework and reaffirmed a shared commitment to support its development. They also agreed to strengthen collaboration in key sectors such as agriculture, education, sports, and tourism.
Following this, President Museveni met with Kyabazinga Gabula Nadiope IV and his delegation, where they discussed issues of mutual interest affecting the Busoga Kingdom. The President extended his congratulations on the Kyabazinga’s 11th coronation anniversary and warmly acknowledged the blessing of his recent birth of twins.
These engagements underscore the government’s ongoing support for cultural institutions as vital partners in Uganda’s social and economic development.
