KASESE– Police in Katwe Kabatoro Division in Kasese District is currently investigating circumstances sorounding the suspected death by hanging of a 20 year Old a one Mumbere Derrick a resident of Kikorongo Trading Centre in Katwe Kabatoro Division in Kasese District.
The tragic incident occured on19th May 2025 at approximately 1700hrs.
According to the OC Station Kikorongo Asp Lodia Micheal , the deceased was found hanging helplessly on a tree in the neighborhood in evening hours with a piece of cloth tied round on his Neck.
His body was thereafter conveyed to Kasese Municipal Council Health Centre III for Postmortem Report.
The urges members of the public particularly young people to avoid death by suicide as a response to Depression and Stress but rather to seek for help from friends , Religious Leaders and other available counseling centres.
Nelson Tumushime SP Spokesperson Police Kasese says that the Region continues to register an increase in cases of suicide especially in the age bracket of 20 – 28 years.
