Kampala is set for anorther annual thrilling clash as the Nile Special National Pool Open Championship (NSNOPC) grand finale takes place on December 21, 2025, at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
Fans will be excited as former champions return to reclaim glory. Jonan Turigye, famously known as “The Joker,” winner of the inaugural 2010 NSNOPC and 2013 car prize champion, is back in the hunt after qualifying second at the Koma Gardens regional round.
He will face stiff competition from past winners like Ceasar Chandiga “Da Scorpion@ (2023) and defending champion Bwanika Mansoor (2022 and 2024). Another returning star, Alfred “Blacksheep” Gumikiriza, 2012 champion, also qualified.
The men’s competition will feature 128 players, while 32 women will battle for the female title.
This year, there are heartbreaks too. Former Uganda Pool Cranes captain Habib Ssebuguzi was knocked out by Julius Ssemanda by 5-0
