EDUCATION: The examination body, Uganda National Examinations Board has asked the public to disregard fake information circulating on social media showing that release of PLE result for 2024 will take place on Friday 17th January.

“Our attention has been drawn to a fake message circulating on social media that the 2024 PLE results will be released on Friday 17th January, 2025. Kindly ignore and disregard it. An official date for the release will be communicated at the right time.” Stated by UNEB through its X platform.

Sources from UNEB have confirmed that official date will be announced by the authority. And the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni, is expected to officiate the exercise .

Once released, the results will be available on examination center portals for schools to download, while hard copies can be collected from the UNEB offices at Ntinda.

Further students, parents, and educators will be able to access the results via Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile networks, providing instant access to individual results.

Over 700,000 candidates sat for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) in November 2024, and the release of the PLE results comes ahead of the new academic calendar year, which is set to begin in February 2025.
