Police in Wakiso District are investigating a daring incident of aggravated robbery that occurred on the night of November 6, 2025, at Kikaaya Village in Ssumbwe Parish, Wakiso Sub-county.
According to preliminary reports, three unidentified assailants traveling on a motorcycle targeted multiple business premises, including a soft drink depot, a mobile money and agent banking outlet, and a retail shop.
One of the suspects was reportedly armed with a gun.
The gang is said to have stolen an undisclosed amount of cash and two mobile phones before fleeing under the cover of darkness. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the attack.
CCTV footage obtained from two of the affected businesses captured images of the suspects, which police are now analyzing to aid in their identification and arrest.
A case of aggravated robbery has been registered at Bulenga Police Station. Responding officers documented the scene and have launched a manhunt for the culprits.
Police have urged members of the public to provide any information that could help trace the suspects or recover the stolen property.
Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the ongoing investigations and reassured residents of intensified patrols to curb such criminal activities.
