President Yoweri Museveni has commended the people of Bunyangabu for their continued support and participation in Uganda’s development journey.

Speaking at his second rally in the district, following a visit to Kasese, the President highlighted the peace and stability Uganda has enjoyed over the past four decades.
“I thank God that a child can be born, grow, study, marry, and raise a family in a peaceful country. This is one of the greatest fruits of the NRM struggle,” President Museveni said.
He also celebrated the visible development across the country, including roads, electricity, water, telecommunications, railways, and internet connectivity.

Addressing delays on the Mityana–Mubende–Fort Portal road, the President noted that past slowdowns were due to scattered resources, but praised young cadres for learning prioritization, ensuring the project’s completion.
Highlighting educational achievements, President Museveni pointed out that Bunyangabu alone now has eight government secondary schools. “In 1961, Uganda had only six A-level schools. This shows how far we have come,” he remarked.
The President’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to sustained development, peace, and prosperity for all Ugandans.
