Kampala, Uganda — The International DJ and cultural ambassador Nicolas Peks is set to headline the “Soul & RNB Experience: View in the Sky Edition” this Saturday, August 2nd, at the Skyz Protea Hotel, Naguru.

During a press conference ahead of the show held at Middle East Restaurantat Oasis Mall, the Burundi-Rwanda-born artist shared his passion for music and its deeper meaning.

“Music is life,” Peks said. “Just imagine the world without music, it would be too boring. It brings people and cultures together. It makes the world feel like one place.”

“I’ve been doing this for 30 years, and I still don’t limit myself to one genre,” he explained. “The funny thing is, I’m still learning especially from the youth and even from those I started out with.”

For Peks, music transcends borders. Whether you’re from Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, or Ethiopia, the rhythm is what binds us. “When you love music. Music becomes the culture. That’s why collaboration is key we’re one family, he said.

He talked of how important is music in promoting culture and tourism, noting that it is important for artests to collaborate with players in these two sectors.

He has promises a breathtaking rooftop party with panoramic views of Kampala, and unforgettable soundtrack of old school Soul and R&B hits. “From smooth slow jams to upbeat dance-floor fillers, DJ Peks is ready to take partygoers on a nostalgic ride,” he said.

He emphasized that “this event is not just a concert it’s a celebration of unity, rhythm, and pure musical joy. Don’t miss your chance to vibe with DJ Nicolas Pekswhere Soul meets sky, and music meets meaning.”

Mr. Micheal Aransiola, CEO Soul Events emphasized that tickets are available via Quicket and selected outlets “Ordinary: UGX 150,000, VIP Table (5 pax): UGX 2,000,000, and View in the Sky Package (5 pax): UGX 5,000,000.” He said.

“We are glad to host DJ Peks at Middle East Restaurant at Oasis Mall,” said Mr. Muhammad Hussien, the founder and director of Middle East chain of Restaurantats, adding that the presence of state of the art restaurants like Middle East demonstrates that Uganda will continue to attract celebrities and superstars.

He echoed DJ Peks’ point about the importance of viewing East Africa as one united region.

“I have been in Uganda for the past 15 years, and I now feel this is our home. As investors and citizens, we must all play our part in showcasing the best of Uganda to the world.”
