Pastor Perez holds a Bachelor of Theology and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Bugema University. At the time of his election, he had just been admitted to pursue a PhD in Leadership at the Adventist University of Africa, a step that underscores his commitment to continuous growth in both knowledge and ministry.
His blend of spiritual and psychological training has long strengthened his service and pastoral influence.
His deep passion for media evangelism has shaped much of his ministry. Pastor Perez played a pivotal role in the establishment of Hope Channel Uganda as its brand ambassador and host of the flagship program Let’s Pray, using the power of television to share the Gospel with viewers nationwide.
Since 2016, he has also hosted the English Morning Devotion on Prime Radio, a programme that has touched countless lives with messages of hope and encouragement.
Beyond his media ministry, Pastor Perez has served the church in several leadership capacities. He previously acted as Prime Radio Pastor and has offered guidance to numerous fellowships in both public and private institutions, including those at the Parliament of Uganda, the Uganda Revenue Authority, and the Judiciary.
His commitment to youth ministry is evident in his seven years as chaplain at Kireka Hill Infant School and another seven at Hilton High School.
Before his election to the Central Uganda Conference, he served as Associate District Pastor for Kampala A District, where he oversaw congregations such as Makerere University Seventh-day Adventist Association, Mulago Seventh-day Adventist Student Association, Nalumunye Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church–Kyanja.
His leadership there was characterized by a strong focus on spiritual growth, unity, and purposeful ministry.
Pastor Perez has expressed deep gratitude to the Kampala A District for its unwavering support and mentorship, crediting it with helping shape his leadership.
He also offered special appreciation to Kampala Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, which he described as a “breeding house” for leaders who are nurtured in both faith and service.
He continues to draw strength from his wife, Sera Martha, and their daughters, Aviela and Alyana, whose support remains central to his ministry.
Known for his resilience, perseverance, and steadfast faith, Pastor Perez begins this new chapter with the confidence of a community that believes strongly in his calling. His leadership, church members say, will continue to inspire and uplift many across the region.
The Kampala Central SDA Church and Kampala A District congratulated him once again and offered prayers for God’s guidance as he steps into his new responsibilities in the Communication and ASI departments of the Central Uganda Conference.
