Police in Uganda arrested a renowned tiktoker and social media influencer in connection with the alleged malicious damage of a motor vehicle following an incident captured in a video that circulated on social media.
The suspect, identified as Anthony Katongole, also known as “Chicken Chicken,” was taken into custody by police in Kawempe after investigators linked him to the destruction of a Toyota Mark X belonging to Sharif Sali, also known as “Shawa Shawa.”

According to police, the incident occurred at about 3:00am, on June 25, 2026, in the parking area of Akamweesi Mall in Kampala’s Kawempe Division. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, together with several accomplices who remain at large, allegedly smashed the vehicle’s windscreens, causing significant damage.
The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue, while authorities are working to identify and arrest the other individuals allegedly involved.
“We strongly condemn all acts of lawlessness and wish to remind the public that such conduct will not be tolerated,” Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Racheal Kawala said in a statement.
