In today’s digital economy, social media has evolved beyond a platform for conversations into a powerful business tool for marketing, networking, and brand growth. Among the young professionals making an impact in Uganda’s digital marketing space is Dorah Daphine Kabakama, a businesswoman, digital marketer, social media influencer, and X Spaces show host.
Kabakama has built a reputation for helping organizations and businesses strengthen their online presence through strategic digital campaigns and audience engagement.
Her journey reflects how creativity, consistency, and passion can transform social media into a career and a business opportunity.
A former student of Seeta High School and Makerere University, Kabakama has steadily established herself as a respected digital communications professional.
She currently works as a professional digital marketer with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under Youth Working Group while also managing digital campaigns and social media platforms for various organizations.
Over the years, she has collaborated with several leading institutions and brands, including UNICEF Uganda, the World Food Programme (WFP), UNDP, the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS), Corporate Games Uganda, NSSF Uganda, among others.
Through these partnerships, she has supported campaigns aimed at increasing public awareness, promoting services, and strengthening brand visibility.
Beyond corporate engagements, Kabakama has become a familiar voice on X (formerly Twitter) through The Cobra Show, one of Uganda’s trusted X Spaces platforms. The show has grown into an influential online community where businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals promote their products and services, discuss current affairs, and expand their networks.

The platform has also created opportunities for startups and established brands to reach wider audiences through authentic digital conversations.
According to Kabakama, the foundation of her success lies in consistency, passion, creativity, and determination.
“What drives me is consistency, passion and creativity. I am hardworking, ambitious and a go-getter. Once I set my eyes on something, I work tirelessly until I achieve it,” she says.
She believes social media should be used to create meaningful relationships rather than simply gaining followers.
For her, X has become more than a networking platform, it is a community where genuine friendships, business partnerships, and professional opportunities are created.
“I built my platform for networking, creating real-life connections and having a safe space to express myself. Whenever I face challenges, I often express my emotions through writing, and I found that freedom on X without fear of judgment,” she explains.
As a businesswoman and mother, Kabakama continues to balance entrepreneurship, family life, and professional responsibilities while inspiring many young Ugandans to embrace digital opportunities.
With Uganda’s digital economy expanding rapidly, professionals like Dorah Daphine Kabakama are demonstrating that online platforms can be transformed into engines of innovation, business development, and lasting impact.
